JCHS Academic Bowl Team Second in Nation
Academic Bowl (also known as quiz bowl) is a competitive team-based, buzzer-style academic sport, with members specializing in subjects like literature, history, science, mythology, and more.
The Johns Creek High School Academic Bowl Club has had a very successful track record over the past 4+ years. Johns Creek has placed first place at every regular-season tournament attended (~30 tournaments). Johns Creek also ended the past season ranked at #2 in the country on the national rankings. Johns Creek placed 7th at PACE Nationals (out of 72 teams) this past year and 5th 2 years ago.
Over the past three years, the club has built three highly competitive teams, with two routinely advancing to playoff rounds at national championships each year. Beyond tournament success, Academic Bowl provides a rewarding environment where members build deep subject expertise, perform individually and as a team, and frequently earn admission to top universities like Georgia Tech, Northwestern, and University of Chicago.
